Tips For Your Financial Success

Financial success is possible for those who sincerely desire wealth in their lifetime. You cannot be poor in the midst of plenty and God's abundant provision. We are where we are today because of what we "eat, live and sleep" with. For every known ailment there is a prescribed medication for its cure. Unless you follow this prescription, you are not likely to achieve a healthy status. So also is financial wealth and success. The following tips will align your thinking, mentality, and actions to enable you achieve financial success in your career, business and family, as you desire.

Tip Number One- Know Where You are Going

He who knows where he is going will never miss his way. Set date and time limits in your daily, weekly, monthly and yearly endeavors. Create an outline as a roadmap to your financial freedom. Follow your roadmap religiously.

Tip Number Two- Crucify Procrastination

You have heard about the saying, "Procrastination is the thief of time." If there is anything I abhor in life it is procrastination. It is simply putting off till tomorrow what should have been done today. It buries financial successes in the graveyard of dreams. That is the beginning of poverty in its naked reality. Start whatever project you have at hand with what you have and where you are-never delay. Procrastination or delay is denial.

Tip Number Three- Get Focused

Concentrate your time, effort, energy and money on a single project one at a time. As my college lecturer used to say, "Put all your eggs in one basket and watch it." This is the exact opposite of the trite saying, "Do not put all your eggs in one basket." You get what you work for. Avoid or eschew excuses. It is easier to do a thing right than to explain why it was done wrongly or giving excuses why it won't work. Concentration is the keyword here. Have positive mindset; be upbeat and optimistic about whatever you set your mind on.

Tip Number Four- Be Disciplined

At whatever rung of the success ladder you are, be disciplined. This is one virtue that many successful people lack. As soon as "they arrive", they throw caution to the wind. It is not good enough. Discipline entails sacrifices and self denials, i.e. paying the price to win the prize.

Tip Number Five- Hard Work and Diligence

You get to work at it to have it. There is no substitute for hard work. As the saying goes, "there is dignity in labor." As you work hard at your dream project be smart as well. Smart workers identify opportunities even before they become obvious.

Tip Number Six- Flexibility

Dynamic people are successful people. People who understand that nothing is static in life quickly change or adjust their rudder according to their sail. If one method of achieving your financial status is not working, don't rest on your oars. Try another. I have come across trained doctors becoming lawyers later in life and being successful at that. It is vice versa. It means you are following your passion or talent and pursuing it fervently. You must learn how to understand and interpret your financial journey as you go on in your career or business lives.

Tip Number Seven- Personal Development and Preparation

Develop yourself in the area of your dream. Undergo tutelage, apprenticeship, training, internship or schooling to hasten and perfect your financial success time and to reduce detours. Strive for excellence, the most noticeable trait that attracts stupendous wealth. Pay attention to details. Be prepared. Remember, preparation is nine-tenth of success.

I leave you with this quote from Helen Keller, "Never consent to creep when you feel an impulse to soar."

And from me:

-Little things affect little minds. Think BIG;

-Limited thinking produces limited results; and

-Action begets action.

You will excel!
